Roughly 80% of people living in Haoussabougou and Sozorobougou, Korhogo, Côte d’Ivoire are illiterate. We provide literacy classes to children, youth, and adults. We seeking funds to build and equip the first Learning Resource Center ever in the town of Korhogo to accommodate the thousands of illiterate children, women, and men in two of the most impoverished communities in Korhogo: Haoussabougou and Sozorobougou.
The Houssabougou-Sozorobougou Learning Resource Center will provide literacy classes, community health education, tutorial services, and a library. Empowering The Poor is seeking $45,000 to cover the construction cost of the Learning Resource Center. Donate Now, as without education there is very little hope to break the vicious cycle of poverty.
