Project Sites
Haoussabougou is one of the poorest and most culturally diverse neighborhoods of Korhogo, Cote d’Ivoire, West Africa. An estimated 75% of the population in Haoussabougou and its surroundings did not complete primary education, and often recourse to small trade to earn a living. Diseases like malaria and malnutrition are rampant. HIV is slowly spreading within that community made up of citizens of Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Guinea, as well as Ivoirians.
Project Management Plan
Phase1: Collect baseline data in Haoussabougou to determine the literacy rate, average schooling years, and disease prevalence rate in each village. Those data will help us establish a poverty index to evaluate the impact of the project, and share the results with our stakeholders and other nonprofit organizations.
Phase 2: Build and equip the Resource learning Center, which include a library.
Phase 3: An evaluation will be conducted every six months and published in ETP’s annual report and to all stakeholders. Health and general educators will undergo training with other nonprofits or experts in the field to enhance their skills.
The day-to-day operations of the construction of the Haoussbougou Resource Learning Center will be handled through ETP’s regional office in Korhogo, Cote d’Ivoire while the fiscal management of the project will be conducted in our headquarters, in Fredericksburg, Virginia by our accountant. A separate account for the project will be created and controlled through our headquarters.
